In the name of Allah
the Merciful the Compassionate!
Dear parishioners of Juma Mosque, people full of dignity and honor!
Beginning from the 30th June all of us have been living through the extremely
tragic days. It is quite remarkable that this is the time of “Ayyam-
Fatima” (“The days of Saint Fatima (s.a.)”). Thus, exactly
over these days we all are given a unique spiritual chance to understand
and to live through the tragic nature of those historical days.
Now we have witnessed the unprecedented tragedy: the praying believers
in the state of the earth bow in the God’s Temple were attacked.
Besides, there were arrested 27 believing brothers and sisters. Praise
be to the Most High, all the detained believing people, having shown fortitude
and dignity, were released.
My dear! I find it necessary to share some ideas with You. Under the circumstances,
it is not safe to go to the House of God now. Thus, the believers going
for namaz, praying in the Mosque are detained, put under pressure and
fined.
My dear! The 9th of July, the next Friday is coming. We all know how important
the Fridays are for believers. In our blessed religion Friday is the “crown
of days”.
Dear parishioners of Juma Mosque! The coming Friday is different from
others. On this Friday we all are to be very responsible. With great regret,
we have to state that the blessed Friday may be blackened by provocations
arranged against the believers. Certain slanderous mechanisms as the components
of these provocations have already been launched.
My dear! I am addressing You with a great request: just like the previous
days, on this Friday it is necessary to restrain yourselves from going
to the Mosque and to pray at home. I am perfectly aware of the bitterness
of this decision. It is for the first time over the last 12 years that
we shall not pray together in the God’s Temple. But now it is a
kind of obligation for us. It is necessary so that to break the plans
of those who want to show disrespect towards the House of God, those who
want to slander the believers. With pain in our heart we note that the
moral atmosphere in the God’s Temple has been practically destroyed,
your security is not observed and the most important is that we must prevent
the planned provocations. Therefore, it is expedient to pray at home on
this Friday.
My dear! We are awaited by lots of Fridays in the future. The justice
will certainly triumph. Mehdi (a.f.) awaited by us will arrive on one
of these Fridays and by his advent he will fill the Universe with peace
and welfare.
Let God make this Friday blessed for You!
Let the Most High save You!

HADIS
About the criteria of a Muslim.
On behalf of the Holiest Prophet (s): “One cannot consider himself
a Muslim without taking care of other Muslims in the morning. Nor is a
Muslim the one who does not respond to exclamation of another person regarding
help and assistance: “Oh, Muslims!””
About God’s servant.
On behalf of Imam Ali (a): “Be servant to no one (but to Allah)!
Because Allah crated you free.”
About hope.
On behalf of Mohammed Tagi (a): “The one who relies only on the
Most High Allah will be delighted. The one who hopes for the Most High
Allah will be helped by Allah. And to rely only on Allah is the stronghold
attributed only to a true believer.”
About the position of Khanum Fatima (a).
On behalf of Saint Fatima (a): “The world of those who made a fetish
of the earthly, perishable enjoyments is unpleasant for me”.
About extent of faith.
From the prayers of Imam Ali (a) to the Most High Allah: “Oh, my
Allah! Truly, I worship You not because I am afraid regarding my fate
and not because of the desire to be rewarded by You, but only because
I consider only You be worth of worshipping!”
PULSE OF THE DAY
Information by press service of the Center for Protection of Conscience
and Persuasion Freedom (DEVAMM):
- On the 8th of July 37 Muslim religious associations made a joint appeal
regarding the tragedy that had taken place in Juma Mosque. The appeal
contains the sharp condemnation of the unprecedented violation of believers’
freedom of religion as well as the demand to put an end to persecutions
against the religious community of Juma Mosque and against imam-jamaat
of the Mosque Ilgar Ibrahimoglu. The authors of the document also demand
to create the relevant conditions so that the religious community “Juma
Mosque” can continue its activities in the same-named Mosque, the
community, which was registered by the Ministry of Justice in 1993 as
well as to punish those who have committed violations against humanity,
morality and religion.
- On the 2nd of July the human rights organization “Human Rights
House” made public the statement concerning the expulsion of “Juma
Mosque” religious community from the same-named Mosque. The statement
sharply condemns the expulsion of the community from the Mosque and it
is considered as the grossest violation of the human rights. The statement
also condemns the persecutions against Ilgar Ibrahimoglu. The document
also stresses that the community was registered by the Ministry of Justice
in 1993 and was carrying out the legal activities without receiving any
claims.
Taking the above into account, Human Rights House appealed to create the
conditions in the country for activities of the civil society structures,
to fence the human rights activists from attacks and to restore the rights
of community “Juma”.
- On the 8th of July in “Nizami” press club there was held
a press conference organized by the Monitoring Group of the Human Rights
Organizations on the subject of the situation with the human rights.
The leading coordinator of DEVAMM Ilgar Ibrahimoglu also took part in
that event. He informed those present that the human rights center DEVAMM
and IRLA Azerbaijan Chapter had received more than 500 complaints from
the members of the religious community “Juma Mosque”.
I.Ibrahimoglu also called for the wide public to express the protest against
breaking the architectural appearance of Juma Mosque.
- On the 8th of July the Federation of human rights organizations of Azerbaijan
made a statement regarding the situation around Juma Mosque. The statement
contains the great concern about the processes taking place around the
religious community “Juma Mosque”. The statement notes that
according to the Constitution of Azerbaijan, the religion is separated
from the state and therefore the groundless interference of the governmental
agencies with the activities of the religious communities cannot be justified.
The statement sharply condemns the application of the physical force against
believers and their detention.
The statement also notes that the Federation expresses its firm protest
against the massive violation of the religious community “Juma Mosque”
believers’ rights and stresses that this protest will be made known
to the corresponding international entities.
