HOLIDAY

The 27th of Rajab, 13 years before the hidjarat (moving of the Prophet of Islam (s) from Mecca to Medina), the day when there was sent the prophetic mission upon the Holiest Messenger of Allah – Muhammad ibn Abdullahu (s), this day is called Mab’as. Observing the orudj (fasting) on this day is quite encouraged.

HADIS. About science.

On behalf of the Prophet of Islam (s): “The good of this and the next world is in science”.
On behalf of Imam Sadig (a): “The Holiest Prophet (s) said that anyone who moves just a little towards the learning of science will be rewarded by the Most High Allah by the opening of the way to paradise where he may step his foot ”.
On behalf of Imam Sadig (a): “…Truly, all the living creatures in the sky and on the land and even fish in the seas ask (the Most High) to forgive the researcher of a (true) science”.

HADIS. About dignity.

On behalf of the Prophet of Islam (s): “It is better for you to wear the patched clothes than to take someone else’s clothes”.

HADIS. About optimal nature of addressing.

On behalf of the Holiest Prophet (s): “One of the tasks for us, prophets, is to establish relations with people taking their perception into account”.
REMARK. Achievements of neuro-linguistics and of other modern sciences regarding inter-personal relations are not anything special at the present time. However, as early as 14 centuries ago, the Prophet of Islam (s), when delivering the divine message to people and inviting people to the way of truth, certainly took into consideration psychological, individual and other factors.

HADIS. About treating the people.

On behalf of Imam Ali (a): “Treat people the way so that they would mourn over you when you leave this world, and when you are alive (during your absence) they would like to see you”.

HADIS. About friendship.

On behalf of Imam Sadig (a): “Choose truthful people to be your friends and make their number grow, because in happiness they will be your support and in trouble – your protection”.

HADIS. About self-test.

On behalf of the Prophet of Islam (s): “Before your deeds are inspected, inspect them yourselves”.

Lessons to be learnt from the hadis.

1. The attention of a man is drawn to as important matter as the forthcoming account of his deeds on the Judgment Day;
2. It is suggested that a man should keep to the true pramatism and it is also recommended that he should observe the categories which are the most important atributes of a process of personality evolution such as self-analisys, self-critics and self-assessment;
3. It is natural that if a man daily examines himself and carries out a self-analysis, then he will save himself from a severe punishment and will join the eternal happiness;
4. People who do not make a self-assessment are unable to evolve, they start to degrade and get involved in sinful actions.

SHEHADET.

On the 25th of Rajab, 183 year of hidjra, at the order of the caliph-usurper Garun-er-Rashid, there was poisoned and died as a martyr the 7th imam of Muslims – Imam Museyi Kazim (a). His holy tomb is situated in Iraq, in the city of Kazimeyn. The true believers who are not able to make ziyarat (pilgrimage, visit to a shrine) to Imam (a), can visit the tombs of Imam Kazim’s (a) daughters situated in Nardaran and Bibi-Eybat.

HISTORY.

On the 28th of Rajab, in the 60 year of hidjra, Imam Hussein (a) started from Mecca to Medina. It was the beginning of a struggle against the tyranny of Yezid (l) who had usurped the power in caliphate. The heroic chronicle of Ashura ended this struggle when Imam Hussein (a) with his small-numbered supporters saved Islam from inevitable death and said “no!” to tyranny. Unprecedented heroism shown by the Imam (a) and by his supporters in Kerbala is the live school of courage and selflessness for all the following generations of freedom-loving people.

HADIS. About the orudj of Shaban month.

The Holiest Prophet (s) was asked: “Which days are most recommended to observe orudj?”. In reply the Prophet (s) said: “Because of respect and esteem to Ramazan month it is the orudj observed in Shaban month”.
