Dear sisters and brothers!
We are already living through the blessed month of Shaban. The month of Shaban is the last opportunity to get prepared for receiving the gifts of the Most High to be given during the glorious month of Ramazan, which is the most precious crown of all the months.

The month of Shaban is the one of the months when there are the most favorable opportunities to repent, to pray for forgiveness, to gain dignity and self-respect, to do good actions. This is the month when there is a unique chance to get cured of lie and backbiting, of slander and deception, of cowardice and flattery.

In this month the Most High presents great opportunities for the moral rise to the true believers. Providing the people with the chance to take part in noble actions, the Most High and Incomparable Allah invites them to perfection, to beauty and to becoming the true followers of Ahli-Beyt (a)

Some of Shaban month actions

- During the month of Shaban it is a big savab (an action to be rewarded by Allah) to give alms;
- During the month of Shaban one should pay much attention to repentance and to utter words of repentance frequently;
- During the month of Shaban it is recommended to utter the following prayer for 70 times:

«ASTAGFIRULLAHA WA AS-ALUHUT-TAUBA»

HADIS. About insistency in prayer

On behalf of the Prophet of Islam (s): “The Most High Allah loves those who are insistent in prayers”.
COMMENT. From the hadis it becomes clear that prayers and requests addressed to the Most High Allah have their particular features. Thus, to achieve the goals it is not enough just to utter them. To turn these prayers and requests in the efficient means for achieving the goals and realizing the dream, it is very important to make them insistent.

From this standpoint it would be very correct if the people in their prayers were consistent and insistent. For example, to insistently and consistently pray for the Most High Allah to make them perfect people, to enrich them with a nice family and steadfast faith, to liberate the occupied areas of Motherland, to protect the religion from encroachments of double-faced and hypocritical adherents of Satan, to send down the universal grace. Thus, by achieving the wishful, the people would at the same time deserve the indulgence and love of the Most High.

It is necessary to note that such consistence and insistence makes a man’s aspiration for achieving the fixed goal more systematic, defines the optimal nature of the chosen direction and eventually plays an important role in perfection of a man

HADIS. About vanity

On behalf of Imam Ali (a): “How appropriate is the feeling of vanity for a man whose beginning is the clot of a semen liquid and the end is the stinking corpse, whose prosperity (whose provision) depends on other people and who is unable to prevent the coming of his death?”

COMMENT. The hadis discovers the absurdness of a conceited man’s condition. A man should not forget about the essence of his physiological beginning and end and also, being a public creature, he is supposed to understand the factor of his dependence on other people. At the initial period of life a man for months receives the ready food and gets developed in the mother’s womb. Then, by means of the mother’s milk he obtains all the vital components. During all his life he is more or less dependent on other people. One day, without asking his opinion, the angel of death stops his life cycle. A thinking man must understand all these aspects, to comprehend the philosophy of creation and life and, as a result, he is to be far from such an inappropriate feeling as vanity.

Conceited people, individuals who hold the highest positions, most likely forget about the consistent essence of their physiological beginning and end. They, who, according to their position, are supposed to be the servants of people but who think the people to be their servants, have no idea as to how ridiculous, in the world scale, are their miserable efforts to look like important persons. When the angel of death knocks at their door and brings the news of the nearest cruel torments, then the mosquito-like, in its essence, squeak of these “masters of destinies” will get lost in the backyards of history and will quickly get erased from the human memory. Their fate is to join the similar despots – the authors of squeaks and buzz, which sounded at different stages of the human history and to be thrown to the garbage heap of the history.

The true, imperishable values are the values, which over the whole period of the human history have been brought to people by geniuses who comprehend the true highness of the Eternal and Almighty Creator and who bow their heads to Him.

MOVLUD

The 3rd of Shaban month, the 3rd year of hijra is the lightest birthday of Imam Hussein (a).

The 4th of Shaban, the 24th year of hijra is the lightest birthday of Abulfazl Abbas (a) – the hero of Ashura, the unbending flag bearer of Imam Hussein (a).

The 5th of Shaban month, the 38th year of hijra is the lightest birthday of Imam Sadjad (a) who delivered the truth of Ashura to the whole mankind and who, by his unbending courage, put into confusion even the bloody despots

HISTORY

On the 1st of Shaban month, 1266 year of hijra, died one of the most prominent scientists who made the greatest contribution to development of Islamic law – Muhammed Hussein Najafi also famous as “Sahibi-javahir”.

PRAYER.

While leaving home it is recommended to read the following prayer:

“Bismillahi harajtu wa alal-lahi tawakkaltu wa la haula wa la guwwata illa billah”

PROGRAM “MOTHERLAND WITHOUT ORPHANS”

Under the program “Motherland without orphans” established by the religious community of “Juma” mosque in 2002, last week a group of representatives of the religious community of the mosque visited a boarding school for orphan children located in Shuvalan human settlement. With the purpose of improving the spiritual moral condition of the homeless children, of contributing to their psychological rehabilitation, the believers tried to take care and sincerely communicated with the children

CONTEST

The 25th August 1992 is the day of liberation of “Juma” mosque. The religious community «Juma Mosque» annually celebrates this good date in a special way. This year, with regard to the 12th anniversary of liberation of “Juma” mosque, the religious community declares the contest for the following nominations:

1) The best picture;
2) The best work of children’s art;
3) The best photograph;
4) The best poem;
5) The best story;
6) The best surud (Islamic music);
7) The best paragraph for a newspaper column;
8) The best analytical material.

Taking into consideration the wish of believers, we inform you that the time of the contest has been prolonged till the glorious month of Ramazan.
