 ABOUT THE MIDDLE NIGHT OF SHABAN MONTH  

The middle night (14th-15th) of Shaban month – nimei-shaban is considered to be the most glorious night being just a little bit less significant than Gadr nights (Gadr is one of the three nights within Ramazan month during which Koran was sent down). It is recommended very much to stay awake and to read “Kumeil” prayer at this night

 HADIS. About relationships not to be kept 

On behalf of Imam Ali (a): “To communicate with an ignoramus means putting one’s soul to torments”. On behalf of Imam Ali (a): “The one who will distinguish good from evil is not a wise man; actually, a wise man is the one who will choose the lesser of two evils”. On behalf of Imam Ali (a): “The one who communicates with bad people is like a man aboard a ship sailing around a sea; which means that if he even does not get drowned, he will constantly be scared and will undergo emotional restlessness ”
 

CONTEST

The 25th August 1992 is the day of liberation of “Juma” mosque. The religious community «Juma Mosque» annually celebrates this good date in a special way. This year, with regard to the 12th anniversary of liberation of “Juma” mosque, the religious community declares the contest for the following nominations:

1) The best picture;
2) The best work of children’s art;
3) The best photograph;
4) The best poem;
5) The best story;
6) The best surud (Islamic music);
7) The best paragraph for a newspaper column;
8) The best analytical material.

Taking into consideration the wish of believers, we inform you that the time of the contest has been prolonged till the glorious month of Ramazan.

The 5th of Shaban month, the 38th year of hijra is the lightest birthday of Imam Sadjad (a) who delivered the truth of Ashura to the whole mankind and who, by his unbending courage, put into confusion even the bloody despots

 PULSE OF THE DAY 

The press service of “Juma Mosque ” religious community informs:

## Over the last days there have started the new slanderous campaign against “Juma Mosque” religious community. With this regard, on the 20th September, the press service of the religious community made a statement. The statement, in particular, reads:
“For the long time the public of the country have witnessed the massive “black PR” campaign against the congregation of “Juma” mosque. However, over the recent days the Black-Hundred relay of soling the believers have been taken over by the officials of religion. Unfortunately, the officials of religion have not invented anything new - at their disposal are the same schemes inherited from the Soviet ideological apparatus. They use the routine slanderous mystifications intended to mislead the public. Knowing perfectly well that the religious community “Juma Mosque” was registered by the state with the Ministry of Justice as early as 1993, they deliver the intentionally false information that the community has been functioning without being registered. But assertion by the community of the right for the religious freedom and of the Constitution supremacy principle, in particular, of the principle of all religious communities being equal under the law, is represented as non-willingness of the community to subject to the laws of the country. Moreover, there take place attempts of the Caucasus Muslims Board, acting within the anti-constitutional atavisms of the Soviet past, to monopolize the religious sphere, to always interfere with matters of different religious communities, which contradicts both the Constitution of the country and the international legal documents in the field of the religious freedoms.
In all its activities the religious community “Juma” is guided by the basic provisions of the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic regarding the religious freedom, by the UN standards and by the European Convention on human rights in the field of religious freedom. The community carries out its activities being based on the principles of God fear, transparency, legality, morale, love for others and patriotism.
Putting into practice the religious principle “Love for Motherland results from the belief”, the community, within the framework of the same-named program, held the memory days of the occupied lands, arranged the visits to the Alley of the Killed for Motherland, rendered assistance to the families, which had lost their bread-winners in Karabah slaughter. The community was the first to sound the alarm regarding the sacrilege towards the temples located on the occupied lands of Karabah, in particular, in respect of the mosque in Shusha city. Besides, the community raised the concern with regard to the threat to the Muslim shrines in Iraq and spoke against the double standards in this matter.
Bearing the above in mind, quite awkward seem the attempts of the evil-wishers to the community to speculate by these notions. It is clear that these populist statements are meant to mislead the public.
The religious community of “Juma” mosque, being the association of people guided by the scientific approach to religion, has always been far from those stuck in lies and corruption who, unfortunately, took roots in the religious sphere of the country. The community has always been guided by the notions of justice, dignity, honor and its top priority has been and still is the bringing up of highly intellectual and highly moral believers – the citizens of the country who would work for the good and prosperity of our Motherland.
The community feels more and more the understanding in the society of the tasks set by it and aimed at spiritual restoration of the nation and of the wish to put an end in the religious life to the atavisms of the Soviet past the unconditional attributes of which were the corruption, ignorance and obscurantism”.

The press service of the Center for protection of conscience and religious persuasion freedom (DEVAMM) informs:

## On the 22nd September in the International press center there was held the regular session of “Baku autumn debates” on the subject of “Liberalization of Azerbaijan society” arranged by the “Center for national strategic initiatives”. Among the participants there were the specialists in this field, independent experts, public persons. The human rights activist, philosopher in theology Ilgar Ibrahimoglu also took part in this event.
In his speech I.Ibrahimoglu delivered the comparative analysis of the postmodernist period philosophical doctrines and analyzed the neuro-linguistic problems of new philosophical doctrine categories upon perception of different cultures and civilizations.
