 ABOUT ORUJ (About the ritual fasting)  

     Oruj is the component of the program of the Holy religion Islam for bringing up a perfect man and defined as the obligatory ritual, which is to keep fasting annually within one month. Oruj is the ritual month, during which a man, fulfilling the will of Allah, within the period from the morning azan till the evening one, turns down the following actions.      The actions breaking oruj:
     1. Eating and drinking;
     2. Intercourse;
     3. Istimna (automanipulation) – this sin is forbidden not only during the oruj, but also at any other time and in any other case;
     4. Lie uttered on behalf of Allah, Prophet Mohammed (s) and the 12 Imams (a);
     5. The inhale of thick dust or smoke when that staff reaches for a throat;
     6. Full plunge of a head into water;
     7. To stay until the morning azan in a condition of “janabet” (the condition after an intercourse), “kheiz” (the monthly condition of women), “nifas” (post-natal condition of women), in other words a person finding himself in one of these conditions must have a gusl (full washing of a body) before the morning azan;
     8. To have a liquid enema;
9. Intentional vomiting.

 HOW TO DETERMINE THE BEGINNING OF RAMAZAN MONTH

The determining factor of the beginning and the end of a month by a lunar calendar is the visually seen moon rising both before and after sunset. The beginning and the end of all the 12 months by the lunar calendar, inclusive of Ramazan month, are defined by the following methods: 1. If a man sees the Moon himself; 2. If the information about the Moon being visible has been delivered by some people whose words are worth trusting and also by means of everything worth trusting; 3. If two righteous, trustworthy people say that they saw the Moon at night and if there are some differences in their words, but if those differences are only about defining some particularities, for instance if one of them says that “the Moon was in the highest position” and the other one says that “the Moon did not reach the highest position”, in this case their statement is the proof for the beginning of a month.; 4. If the Moon is not visually seen, then the beginning and the end of the month are defined by the lunar principle. As, according to a lunar calendar, a month cannot last over 30 days, then upon expiration of 30 days from the beginning of the preceding month Shaban it is considered to be the beginning of Ramazan month; also upon expiration of 30 days from the beginning of the preceding month Ramazan it is considered to be the beginning of Shavval month. 5. A relevant statement by a scientist in theology is also considered to be a proof of the beginning (the end) of a month.
      Oh, true slave of Allah! Ask yourself: “AM I RADY FOR THE HOLY MONTH RAMAZAN?” Dear sisters and brothers! We are living through the last days of Shaban month. There is coming the most precious crown of all the months – the light month Ramazan. This is the month of sending the Koran. This month, when the fasting is one of the main attributes of perfection and getting closer to the Most High Allah, was prescribed as the obligatory ritual. This is the month within which there is Gadr night, the night, which is higher than a thousand of months. The month Ramazan is the month providing the great opportunities to obtain dignity and honor, to get oneself free from the fetters of ignorance and servility, to become a Man. We are living through the last days of Shaban month. Let us not waste these last days, these last opportunities to get prepared for the spiritual journey into the blessed month. Let the Most High Allah help all those who believe!

RAYS OF LIGHT OF THE HOLY KORAN

     “Oh, you who believe! Like for the people who lived before, you are prescribed to keep fasting so that you become righteous”.Koran, surah “Al-Bagara”, ayat 183.
      The lessons resulting from the ayat: 1. It becomes clear that the Most High Allah, when addressing the true believers, the people who believe in Him, defines oruj as the action obligatory for them; 2. It becomes clear that the fasting as the manifestation of worshipping, was obligatory for the previous generations as well; 3. The discovered is the philosophy of the fasting as the means of becoming righteous – a perfect person, a harmoniously developed personality.


The daily prayer of the Holy Month Ramadan

     Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim. Ya Aliyyu ya Azim, ya Qhafuru ya Rahim. Anter-Rabbul-Azim. Ellazi leyse kemislihi shey. Wa huwas-Samiul Basir. Wa haza shahrun azzamtahu wa karramtahu wa sharraftahu wa fazzaltahu alesh-shuhur. Wa huwash-shahrul-lezi farazta siyamehu aleyy. Wa huwa shahru Ramazan. Allezi anzelte fihil-Quran. Huden linnesi wa beyyinetin minel-huda wal Furqan. Wa dja’alte fihi layletel-Qadr. Wa dja’altehe khayran min elfi shahr. Feyazel menni wa le yumennu aleyke munne aleyye bifekeki raqabeti minen-ner. Fimen temunnu aleyh wa adkhinil djenneh. Birahmetike ya erhemer-Rahimin. Allahumme adkhil ale ehlil-quburis-surur. Allahumme aqhni kulle feqir. Allahumme ashbi kulle dja’i. Allahummeksu kulle uryan. Allahummaqzi deyne kulli medin. Allahumme farrij ‘en kulli mekrub. Allahumme rudde kulle gharib. Allahumme fukke kulle esir. Allahumme aslih kulle fesidin min umuril-muslimin. Allahummeshfi kulle meriz. Allahumme sudde feqrane bighinak. Allahumme ghayyir su-a heline bi husni helik. Allahummeqzi enned-deyne wa eghnine minel-feqr. Inneke ale kulli shey’in qadir.

     - Allahumma laka sumtu va ala rizgika aflartu va aleyka tavvakaltu.
     - Ya vasi’al magfirati igfirli.
     Translation of the prayer
- Oh, my Allah! With the purpose of achieving your agreement I kept this fasting and I open this iftar and in all I hope for You. - Oh, the all-forgiving Allah! Forgive me my sins!

     The 25th August 1992 is the day of liberation of “Juma” mosque. The religious community «Juma Mosque» annually celebrates this good date in a special way. This year, with regard to the 12th anniversary of liberation of “Juma” mosque, the religious community declares the contest for the following nominations:
     1) The best picture;
     2) The best work of children’s art;
     3) The best photograph;
     4) The best poem;
     5) The best story;
     6) The best surud (Islamic music);
     7) The best paragraph for a newspaper column;
     8) The best analytical material.
     Taking into consideration the wish of believers, we inform you that the time of the contest has been prolonged till the glorious month of Ramazan.

THE PROGRAM “MOTHERLAND WITHOUT ORPHANS”

     Over the last days of Shaban month the religious community “Juma Mosque” in the honor of the good movlud (birthday) of the 12th imam – Imam Mehdi Sahib-ez-Zaman (a.f.0 within the framework of the program “Motherland without orphans”, showed the orphan children an art music program composed of Islamic suruds. At the end of the event there was set a holiday table.



PULSE OF THE DAY

     The information of the Center for protection of conscience and persuasion freedom (DEVAMM):
The other day the press service of the Center for protection of conscience and persuasion freedom (DEVAMM) made public the statement concerning some views of R.Aliyev given in the press with regard to the situation around the mosque “Juma”. The statement reads as follows: The leading coordinator of DEVAMM, imam-jamaat of “Juma” mosque Ilgar Ibrahimoglu, commenting on the head of the State committee for work with religious associations (SCWRA) R.Aliyev’s opinions related to “Juma” mosque frequently appearing in the press recently said that any talks about illegality of the believers of “Juma” mosque are not grounded at all. “Either the officials are not familiar with the Constitution of the country, in particular with the articles 148 and 151, or the do not know about the UN documents, in particular about the 22nd construction of the article 18 about the freedom of conscience, or they are not familiar with the European Convention on human rights, especially with the article 9, or all that is done deliberately so that to mislead the public. The head of the SCWRA at every meeting with the representatives of the international organizations, when asked the questions about violation of the rights of the congregation of “Juma” mosque, starts making populist statements. On one occasion our human rights activities are represented as the political, on he other one, fully contradicting the Constitution of the country, it is stated about the necessity to monopolize the consciousness and conscience of the citizens of the country, or sometimes it is said about the illegal demand of the believers of “Juma” mosque regarding the restoration of their violated rights. All that is probably aimed at misinforming the public both inside and outside the country. It repeats the case with the headscarves, which we have been watching for 6 years already. And, in essence, the violation of the rights of the congregation of “Juma” mosques the logic continuation of the problem of the headscarves. The same irresponsible challenges, the same forgetting the philosophy of the activities of the structure headed by him, the structure which is meant to be the guarantor of the freedom of conscience and not to be its gendarme or censor.” Commenting on the reaction of the international human rights organizations to the situation around “Juma” mosque I.Ibrahimoglu said that “the human rights and, especially, the freedom of conscience are not the internal affair of a state. All the international public is responsible for observance of the human rights in a country, especially in the country, which signed the international documents regarding the freedom of conscience being guaranteed to its citizens. So, the reaction of the international human rights organizations in this matter is natural, because we see the most serious violations of the rights of the three thousand believers of “Juma” mosque, which have been taken place for 100 days. Unfortunate is the fact that the officials responsible for observance of the freedom of conscience for their citizens not only do not handle this problem and do not contribute to restoring the believers’ violated rights, which is their obligation due to official position, but also return to this problem from one reaction of the international human rights organizations to another one. And when they do it, they do not try to settle this problem but manifest their incompetence in juridical matters of this problem, and also initiate the new bout of dogging against the believers. As a result, all the society suffers and the process of development of a civil society slows down as a whole. And the most disappointing is that such an approach of the officials leads to the image of the country being spoiled. Our call is that the problems related to the violation of the rights of the believers be settled not from the one to another reaction of the international community, but under the duty and responsibility t the citizens of their country. We intend to achieve the restoration of the rights of the believers of ”Juma” mosque, and also in the matter of the headscarves only by the constitutional methods in the juridical aspect. And we are sur5e, that the violated rights of the believers both in the matter of headscarves and related to the situation around the mosque will, inshaalah, certainly get restored”
